Data Analytics
Toronto Blue Jays: Modelling MLB Game Demand

IMPACT OF RULE CHANGES IN
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
This research project focuses on the impact of the ban on defensive shifts in Major League Baseball (MLB) on offensive metrics. Using RStudio, we conducted visualizations and analysis, examining hitting patterns and player selection from 2015 to 2022 using data from Savant Baseball and MLB's Statcast database.

Atlanta Braves: Evaluating Contracts against Player Performance

In my project focusing on the 2021 Atlanta Braves, I analyzed player value and contract size using Marginal Revenue Product (MRP) to assess the alignment between performance and compensation. By examining the salaries and MRP of 34 Braves players in 2021, I identified any disparities and explored factors contributing to these differences, drawing from existing literature by Scully and Blass.
